Theatre as an Inclusive Practice

This website is dedicated to our wonderful Project Leader Dinos Aristidou (1965 -2023)

UCAN Productions, Mess Up The Mess, Humanitas, and CUBUFO

Project Description

The TIP (theatre as inclusive practice) project is an Erasmus+ research and training project designed to empower young people who have experienced or are experiencing exclusion through theatre. Over two years, young participants from 3 partner countries are developed as workshop leaders through training in particular inclusive theatre practices. They, in turn, apply their training and skills, leading workshops with participants in their own setting.

The training culminates in an event in August 2022 where the young workshop leaders and participants come together in Cardiff to work in collaboration, across countries, to create theatre together on the theme of exclusion, using the inclusive theatre practices they have been introduced to.

The project culminates in March 2023 with a series of dissemination events/conferences in each of the partner countries to share the learning. In addition research findings, planners, inclusive theatre training materials and resources are widely shared through the project's website.

This project is supported under the Erasmus+ Programme by the British National Agency under n.2020-1-UK01-KA227-YOU-094496. The individual organisations collaborating are; UCAN Productions, Humanitas,  Foundation for Development of the Cultural and Business Potential of Civil Society, and Mess Up The Mess.
